Smile It's Your Light. The #BlackBoyJoy series is a project where I ask other brothers to simply smile and let the world take a moment to catch up. We usually share a laugh, and I snap the picture. The camera is close. We typically continue the conversation, and I always say thank you. The defense gone. Joking. Laughing. Not worrying about anything but the moment. We do feel trapped, world weight resides on our shoulders, but for 1/200 of a second I capture what I know we hold dear - a smile :)
